Born in Taiwan (1989), I-Chi, Lin came to the Netherlands for

education in Fine Arts and finished her study at the Gerrit Rietveld

Academy, Amsterdam in 2012.

I-Chi, Lin’s work concerns subject perception and consciousness. With

both ethereal and tangible elements, she creates situations in which

the participants experience the production of presence. Favoring for

live performance and embodied presentation of space, for her, the

actual presence of artists, the engagements of audience and the

consideration of an entire environment intensify the art experience.

Body, space, drawing and poetry are medium she works with, bridging

the spectators to a conscious level in which the intellectual thinking

turns off, and the primitive use of senses liberates one’s own

memories and sentiments.
